Background
Background is an optional attribute of the HTML tag
<BODY>...</BODY> that specifies a texture or pattern filling the
full document-viewing area. The attribute is set to an URL pointing to
an image file:
<BODY BACKGROUND="http://............/.....gif">
A separate attribute BGCOLOR controls the color of the untextured
background.
The BACKGROUND attribute was introduced with Netscape 1.1 and
remains a proprietary capability of that browser. It is proposed
for HTML version 3.0.
